DIOCESE OF PALM BEACH SCHOOLS FOLLOW PUBLIC SCHOOLS CLOSURES
IN THEIR RESPECTIVE COUNTIES DURING SEVERE WEATHER CONDITIONS
**AUGUST 29, 2019, 11:00 A.M. Update**
The Diocese of Palm Beach Office of Catholic Schools is closely monitoring the Hurricane Dorian. During this hurricane season, and as always, the safety of our Diocese of Palm Beach school faculty, staff and students is a top priority.
Please remember that when emergency conditions have been declared by the county, such as severe weather conditions (hurricane, tornadoes, flood), schools may be closed. Unless they are informed otherwise, diocesan schools follow the decisions of the respective county's public school systems. Please note that when the school is closed, all students’ activities on campus are suspended.
Follow your school’s website announcements and social media sites as to when school will re-open. Please know that the schools will resume as soon as it is deemed it safe for students and employees to return, and that it has been verified that road conditions are safe for traveling.
The decisions as to school activity cancellations and closures are made using sound judgment and information obtained from the Emergency Operation Center. We pray for the safety of our families, staff, and community.
